Raymond Allen Robinson

Raymond Allen Robinson, age 83, of Hixson, Tenn., died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007. A native of Wilsonville, he was the son of the late Ernest S. Robinson and Burlie Lea Robinson.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a graduate of Auburn University and had retired from TVA after nearly 25 years of service as the supervisor of land acquisitions.

He held past memberships with the Sons of the Confederacy as well as with the Chattanooga Stamp Club. He was a retired member of the American Right-of-Way Association and a lifetime member of the Sons of the Revolution.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph L. Robinson of Wilsonville.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ann Stanford Robinson of Hixson, Tenn.; two daughters, Margaret Ann (Charles) Waldrup of Chapel Hill, N.C. and Sara Kennedy of Smyra, Tenn.; two grandsons, Brian Waldrup and James Allen Kennedy; a brother, Paul Carter Robinson of Columbiana; and nieces and nephews
