Vanessa Barlow, RN, BSN, MBA, of Alabaster has been appointed departmental director of Inpatient Child-Adolescent Behavior Health at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.

She comes to Children’s Hospital from GrandView Behavioral Health Center in Montgomery, where she served as Clinic Director.

Barlow has received a number of professional awards during her career, including the Outstanding Nurse Administrator Award from the Alabama State Nurses Association and Nurse of the Year by Chi Eta Phi Sorority Inc., Sigma Eta Chapter
