Funeral service for Howard E. Benson, age 75, of Shelby, was at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel. Burial followed at Shelby Garden of Rest Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Benson, who passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007 at a local hospital, was born Aug, 12, 1932 in Shelby.

He is survived by his wife, Bunny Benson; children, Connie (Sid) Wheeler and Jamie Benson; grandchildren, Clint and Sam Wheeler, Deason and Kasey Benson; brother, James Terry Benson; sister, Mildred Branson; and a host of other family and friends.
