Funeral service for Faye Blackerby Bearden, age 65, of Chelsea, was 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at Bolton Letlow Chapel with the Rev. Roland Foster officiating. Burial followed at New Bethesda Cemetery.

Visitation was Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow

Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bearden, who passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at her daughters’ home, was born March 31, 1942, in Shelby County.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Hershel Bearden, and a son, Michael Bearden.

Loved by all, she is survived by her daughters, Melissa Bearden of

Homewood, Rachel B. Kimbell of Chelsea and Lori Champion of Chelsea; a devoted son-in-law, Steve Champion; her grandchildren, Haven, Michaela and Drayton Champion and Hershel Kelan Kimbell; her loving caregivers, Doreen Evans and Darlene Wallace of Birmingham; and a host of other family and friends.
