Brittany Compton and Timothy Franks of Calera are proud to announce the birth of their baby boy, William Dane Franks. He was born Oct. 17, 2007, at 12:47 p.m. He weighed eight pounds, 12 ounces and was 21 and three-fourth inches long.

He is the grandson of Russell and Betty Gail Compton and Timmy and Barbara Franks of Calera. He is great-grandson of Earl and Carolyn Compton, Mayor George and Betty Roy of Calera, Betty Ray of Clanton and the late Maurice Ray, W.D. and Jerry Franks
