Amazing Grace Worship Center honored its retiring founder and pastor, Rev. Ray Smith and wife, Louise, Sunday, Dec. 30 at its “Passing of the Torch” service. Pastor Smith retired after 13 years of service.

Rev. Keven Blankenship, who has been the assistant pastor since 2003, takes over. Blankenship and his wife, Genia, reside in Calera, along with their daughter, Ashland.

Blankenship will present his vision of Moving Forward in 2008, Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, at 10:45 am. Amazing Grace is located at 949 Hwy. 31, approximately four miles south of the Alabaster Colonial Promenade Mall
