Hoover High hosts teen driving forum

Alabama State Rep. Paul DeMarco and the Hoover High School PTSO will co-sponsor a Teen Driving Safety Forum. The forum is designed to give parents of local teens the chance to provide feedback on pre-filed bills and upcoming laws that may enhance the safety of teen drivers.

Topic experts include: Col. Chris Murphy, director of the Alabama Department of Public Safety; State Rep. Jim McClendon, chair of the State Safety Coordinating Committee; and Chief Nick Derzis, Hoover Police Department.

The event will take place Jan. 14 at 7 p.m., in the Hoover High School theatre. The event is open to employees, students and the community. For more information, contact Hoover City Schools at 439-1054
