FROM STAFF REPORTS

Vincent’s chances of a possible share of the regular season area title came to an end Tuesday, despite a second half run by the Yellow Jackets.

Thorsby (11-5, 4-1 area) held off a fourth-quarter run that cut the game to six points, 29-23, to roll to a 43-23 victory and move one game from winning the Class 2A, Area 7 title.

A win for Vincent (2-9, 2-3 area) would have evened the area record with Thorsby.
