The Gulf South Conference preseason coaches’ poll was released Tuesday with the University of Montevallo baseball picked to finish third in the East Division. West Florida (32 points) edged out West Alabama (31 points). Both teams receiving three first-place votes in the East. UM had one first-place vote and 28 points in the poll.

Delta State University received seven votes to win the GSC Baseball Tournament in May at USA Stadium in Millington, Tenn. Montevallo was fourth on that list with one title vote.

Also released with the poll was the preseason All-GSC Team, which included four Falcons: senior outfielders Eric Moore and Brantly Clay, along with senior pitchers Garett Mims and Jeffrey Reach.
