Ronald “Cary” Walton Jr., 29, of Calera tragically passed away Jan. 17, 2008. He sang gospel music with the group “The Waltons.” He was a wonderful husband, daddy, son and brother and a good Christian man who brought joy everywhere he went.

Funeral services were held at Charter Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. with burial in Shelby Memory Gardens. Visitation was held Sunday, Jan. 20 at the funeral home. Dr Wayne McDaniel officiated.

Survivors include his loving wife, Autumn Meridith Walton; daughters, Hannah Elizabeth and Abigail Ruth Walton; parents, Pamela Diane and Ronald C. Walton; sister, Rebecca Cara Marley and husband Tim of Columbiana; brother Christopher Daniel Walton and his fianc/e Christy; grandparents, Mary and Gary Walton of Calera and Pat and Franklin Parks of Montevallo; mother-in-law, Martha H. Bagwell of Winston Salem, N.C.; father-in-law, Buoie “Buck” Bagwell, Jr. and his wife Pat of Warrior; niece, Cara Renee Marley; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a trust fund for his children at Mutual Savings Credit Union, Calera, AL 35040.
