Brooks complete marine corps training

Marine Corps Pvt. Devin T. Brooks recently completed 12 weeks of basic training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, S. C.
Brooks and fellow recruits spent numerous hours learning first aid, uniform regulations, combat water survival, marksmanship, hand-to-hand combat and assorted weapons training.
The training phase ended with The Crucible, a 54-hour, team evolution after which recruits received the Marine Corps Emblem.
Brooks is the son of Rebecca J. and the stepson of Von L. Arthur of Maplesville, and grandson of Camilla F. Ashley of Calera
