FROM STAFF REPORTS

More than 70 children from the 4-year-old class at the First Baptist Church of Alabaster have a better understanding of libraries following their visit to the Albert L. Scott Library in Alabaster Jan. 28.

The children toured the library and listened to Youth Services Librarian Frances Smith read “Read and Rise” by Sandra Pinkney.

Smith also explained how the library is organized, how it helps the community and why everyone should have a library card.
