Several teachers in Shelby County have begun working on a project called “Read Around the Planet.”

Teachers registered and were matched with another class somewhere around the world.

The two classes will connect via videoconference to celebrate “Read Across America” during the week of Feb. 25-Mar. 4.

Each class will do some type of presentation and ask and answer questions about themselves and where they live.

Shelby County teachers will connect with teachers from Canada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and multiple cities in New Jersey, New York and Texas. For more information, please visit www.twice.cc/read/index.htm
