Stacey Perryman of Columbiana announces the engagement of her daughter, Tabatha Salter to Jason Wood of Columbiana. Salter is the granddaughter of Nellie McNeal of Columbiana and the late Leon McNeal.

Wood is the son of Wesley Wood of Houston, Texas and Debbie Wood of Moultrie, Ga. He is the grandson of Doyle Wood of Corsa Cana, Texas and Marianne Wood of Birmingham.

The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Shelby County High School. She currently attends ITT-Technical Institute and will graduate in September. She is employed by Target in Alabaster.

The prospective groom graduated Shelby County High School in 2004 and attended electrical school in Birmingham to get a journeyman license. He is employed by Canterbury Electric in Birmingham as an apprentice.

The wedding will take place March 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church.
