The Sons of the American Revolution Cahaba-Coosa Chapter of Shelby County held its installation ceremony of 2008 officers Sunday, Jan. 20 at the North Shelby Library. The chapter was chartered on Aug. 22, 2003 as the fifteenth chapter in the Alabama Society.

Bobby Joe Seales, founding past president of the Cahaba-Coosa Chapter, performed the ceremony.

The 2008 officers are D. Alan Dismukes, president; Dr. Richard D. “Rick” Price, vice-president; Robert B. “Bob” Melton, secretary; Donald L. Glover, treasurer; John R. Walker, registrar/genealogist; Joel B. Bearden, chaplain; R. Glenn Nivens, chancellor; and Dr. Richard D. “Rick” Price, surgeon.

At the conclusion of the ceremony Dismukes gave his expectations as the newly elected president of the Cahaba-Coosa Chapter
