Funeral service for James Pate, age 42, of Shelby, was at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel. Burial followed at Old Shelby Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday, Feb. 12 from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home.

Mr. Pate, who passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at a local hospital, was born April 18, 1965, in Columbiana. His father, Charles E. Pate, precedes him in death.

He is survived by his children, Heather, James, Joshua, Hannah, Jacob, Joseph; mother, Glenda Pate James (Hillard); siblings, Charles R. Pate, David Pate (Misty), Ronny Pate, Janet Howell (Bryan); and a host nieces, nephews, family and friends.
