Clayton K. Smith has joined the United States Army Reserve under the Delayed Training Program.

Smith, a 2006 graduate of Gardendale High School, will report to Fort Leonard Wood in Waynesville, Mo., for basic training in May 2008.

He is the son of Kita Harrison of Alabaster and David L. Smith of Gardendale
