Chelsea crowns Miss Merry Christmas

More than 121 girls walked across the stage at Chelsea High School to participate in the 2007 Miss Merry Christmas pageant.

At the conclusion of the evening Jan Nguyen, a junior at Chelsea High School was crowned the winner.

The following contestants rounded out the ninth- through 12th-grade competition: first place, Mallie Crumpton; second place, Katie Merkl; and third place, Emily Moore.

In the sixth- through eighth-grade group the winner was Joleen Marie George with Kylie Dutton placing first, Anna Porter placing second and Hayley Barber placing third.

In the third- through fifth-grade division Olivia Kurosaka took home the crown and the following participants placed: Lindsey Gallups, first; Sydni Leigh Bolden, second; and Riley Thomas, third.

The crown for 5 year olds to second-grade went to Lauren Claire Bowles. Rounding out the division were: first place, Daley Victoria Mims; second place, Allison Claire Miller; and third place, Kirkland Thomas.

In the birth through 4-year-old division Tanner Brooke Watts was named Miss Merry Christmas with Alexandra Joy Mims taking first place, Elizabeth Ann Bradley winning second and Chloe Sommer Lael placing third.
