Brenda’s Chocolate Pound Cake

-1/2 cup shortening

-1/2 cup margarine

-3 cups sugar

-1 cup milk

-5 eggs

-3 cups all-purpose flour

-1 tsp. salt

-4 Tbsp. cocoa

-1/2 tsp. baking powder

-1 tsp. vanilla

Beat together shortening, margarine and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk. Bake in greased and floured 10 in. tube pan at 325 F for approximately 1 1/2 hours. This recipe can also be made in 2 loaf pans
