Amanda E. “Gena” Hosey Laggy, age 55, of Calera, passed away March 15, 2008. Gena was born in Alabama on Aug. 30, 1952, the daughter of Amos Eugene and Louise Hollis Hosey.

Services were held at Charter Funeral Home on Saturday, March 22 at 4 p.m., with the burial in Patton’s Chapel in Hoover. Officiating the services were Lewis King and Elder Mark Pevey, speaker was Tracy Hosey Ross and music was by Ray Newman. Visitation was held one hour prior to the services.

Her son, Timothy Lee Dunn, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her parents, Amos Eugene and Louise Hosey; husband, Timothy Guy Laggy; son, Chris Dunn (Ruth); sister, Tracy Hosey Ross; brother, Jimbo Hosey (Teresa); nephews, Aaron, Justin and Jarred Hosey; stepgrandchildren, Jonathan and Matt Butler; and step great-grandchild, Leah Butler
