Tim and Paula Stephens of Montevallo are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Lauren, to Joshua Brant White, son of Butch and Diann White of Alabaster.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Cherry Lou Nix and the late John W. Nix of Montevallo and Jimmy and Lila Stephens of Brierfield.

Stephens graduated from Pelham High School in 2003 and from Central Alabama School of Nursing in 2006.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Homer Bearden, the late Jeanette Bearden, Virginia Weathers, the late Emory Weathers, and the late Corbin White all of Alabaster.

White graduated from Thompson High School in 2001 and from Central Alabama School of Nursing in 2007.

Both Stephens and White are registered nurses and are currently employed by Shelby Baptist in Alabaster.

The wedding will take place on May 10, 2008, at Southern Magnolia at Wilderwood Farms in Montevallo
