Stock wins Dixie PGA event at Timberline

CALERA – Rob Stock of Willow Point Golf and Country Club in Alexander City was the only player to break par Monday to win the Dixie PGA Stroke Play with a round of 70 at Timberline Golf Course. Paul Johnson of Lake Forest was second with an even par 71.
Jerry Applegate of Greystone was ninth with a 73, while Eric Williamson of Shoal Creek shot a 74. Other scores from Shelby County golf clubs were Curtis Ohrn of Shoal Creek in 25th place with a 78, Bryan McMurray of Riverchase Country Club and Blair Hollan of Altadena Valley Country Club tied for 33rd place with an 81 and Greystone’s Tim Briand with an 82 in 35th place.
Applegate won $212.50, while Williamson won $156.25 for their finishes
