Amy Roland of Pelham was recently awarded a two-year University of Alabama Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, valued at $8,000.

She is the daughter of Martin and Theresa Roland of Pelham.

Roland is a student at Jefferson State Community College and a member of Phi Theta Kappa.

She plans on majoring in business
