Turner, Alexander receive $2,500 scholarships

Walter E. Turner II, a Thompson High School student, and Ryan K. Alexander, an Indian Springs School student, were each recently awarded a $2,500 National Achievement scholarship.
Turner and Alexander were among 800 students nationwide to receive the honor
The National Achievement Program is a privately financed academic competition established in 1964 specifically to honor scholastically talented black American youths and to provide scholarships to a substantial number of the most outstanding participants in each annual competition
