CALERA — The annual Shelby County Senior Picnic will take place Thursday, May 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum in Calera.

Shelby County seniors ages 55 and over are invited to take part in the day’s events which include complimentary entertainment, food, vendor booths, train rides, door prizes and more.

Community Services Coordinator Shelli Thomason said around 450 seniors attended last year’s event.
