Hopeful romance writer becomes finalist

Romance Writers of America (RWA) has named Pamela Bolton-Holifield, who was raised in Pelham, as a finalist in the annual International Golden Heart contest for unpublished writers.
Writing as Louisa Cornell, Bolton-Holifield became a Golden Heart finalist for her romance novel titled “Lost in Love.” The book is about men who refuse to ask for directions, and the women who show them the way.
Bolton-Holifield graduated from Thompson High School in 1977 and now lives in Wetumpka. Her mother still lives in Pelham, while her brothers and their families live in Montevallo and Calera.
