The second-annual Miss Relay For Life of West Shelby County was held April 26 at the Calera High School auditorium. The pageant was a fundraiser promoted by the Kids For A Cure Relay Team. Over $2,000 was raised to benefit the American Cancer Society and its mission of eliminating cancer.

Winners included Tiny Miss Relay Hannah Allen, Little Miss Relay Paige Whitfield, Junior Miss Relay Joleen Marie George and Miss Relay Shanda Harris.

Girls also placed in each division as highest fundraiser. Those girls include Elyssa Breana Martin, Tiny Miss Division; Blakely Channell, Petite Miss Division; and Paige Whitfield, Little Miss Division.
