Calera Elementary School teachers recently came together for Relay for Life in a softball charity game.

They called themselves the Educators and played a double-header against Central State Bank. The local fire department brought them into the game on the fire truck.

The game was a big success as children, parents and fellow faculty members came to support the teachers and Relay for Life.

The charity game raised more than $600 for Relay for Life.

The educators won 27-16
