Spring football is at full swing in Shelby County with nearly every school competing in a spring scrimmage this week.

Pelham, Briarwood, Vincent and Coosa Valley will host teams this week for scrimmages, while Shelby County, Calera, Montevallo and Shelby Academy will all hit the road. Thompson will have its Red/White game Thursday.

Spain Park, Kingwood and Cornerstone will not have a spring game. Oak Mountain and Chelsea played each other May 9.

Here is a schedule for the week.

THURSDAY- Coosa Valley Academy vs. Shelby Academy, 5:30 p.m.- Vincent vs. Westbrook Christian, 6 p.m.- Thompson Red/White Spring Game at Thompson, 6 p.m.

FRIDAY- Calera at Leeds, 6 p.m.- Briarwood vs. Hueytown, 7 p.m.- Montevallo at Verbena, 7 p.m.- Shelby Co. vs. Colbert Co. at Oxford, 7:30 p.m
