Residents receive Samford’s Beeson Divinity School honors

Several area residents who attend or teach at Samford University’s Beeson Divinity School were recently honored for outstanding performance in special areas of study.

Justin Nalls of Hoover received the James Earl Massey preaching award, Ronald Sterling of Pelham, pastor of St. Stephen AME Church, received the pastoral ministry award, Nancy Carroll of North Shelby was named the most outstanding student in the Master of Theological Studies degree program and Allen P. Ross of Cahaba Heights, a professor of Old Testament and Hebrew at Beeson, received the Fisher Humphreys Teaching Award
