Funeral service for Freddy Griffin, 64, of Chelsea, will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2008, at New Life Assembly of God with the Rev. David Wooten officiating. Burial will follow at K-Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Griffin, who passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2008, was born July 22, 1943 in Shelby County. Mr. Griffin loved serving the Lord and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Pauline Griffin; brothers, Denny and Jackie Griffin; sister, Mary Griffin.

He is survived by his wife, Reba Griffin; children, Kim Brassard, Stacey (Terry) Tharp, Amy Allison, Josh Griffin, Jennifer Allison; grandchildren, Eric, Stephanie, Austin, Alex, Payton, Griffin; brothers, Roland, Ray, Harold, Paul Griffin; sister, Josie Chamblee and a host of other family and friends.
