Johnson to play football at Huntingdon

COLUMBIANA – Cornerstone Christian School linebacker and running back Kirk Johnson recently accepted a non-athletic scholarship from Huntingdon College with the intent to play football.
Johnson, who will play linebacker for the Hawks, was second on the team in tackles with 101 in the fall and helped take CCS to its first AISA Class 1A state championship game. He had 706 yards rushing and six touchdowns on offense. He also had two 2-point conversions and nine point-after kicks.
