Funeral service for Polly A. Nance, 62, of Chelsea, was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2008, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Billy Boatwright and Tony Burnett officiating. Burial followed at Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.

Nance, who passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at her home, was born on March 29, 1946 in Chilton County, Ala. She was the daughter of the late Willie E. Burnett and the late Maybell Smitherman. She was a school custodian.

She is survived by her son, Allen (Lara) Wilson of Chelsea; daughter, Julie Nance of Clanton; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Billy Burnett and J.E. Burnett of Clanton, and Samuel Burnett of Remlap; sister, Martha Jean Clark of Clanton.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Elizabeth McKee; brother, James Edgar Burnett; and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie E. Burnett
