Verna Mae Guy, age 81, of Sterrett died May 30, 2008.

She is survived by daughters, Sheila Gray, Henrietta Terry and Jane Weldon; son, Roy E. Guy; sister, Helena Hartsfield; brother, Gene Champion; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death y her husband, Lewis Edward Guy.

Services were Sunday, June 1, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds Chapel. Burial followed in Beulah Cemetery in Sterrett. The family received friends from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, May 31 at the funeral home.
