The XTERRA Southeast Championship &8212; Alabama’s biggest off-road triathlon of the year &8212; returns to Oak Mountain State Park this weekend, June 7-8. Sunday&8217;s main event combines a one-mile swim in Double Oak Lake with a grueling 20-mile mountain bike on the highly acclaimed Oak Mountain &8220;red trail,&8221; and a twisty, turny, up-and-down 10K off-road run. Saturday will bring fun for everyone, beginning with trail runs of distances 21K, 10K and 5K at 8 a.m. The XTERRA Kids Zone open from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. with a sprint, bike race and kids triathlon (50-foot swim, 1.8 mile bike and .8 mile run.)
