Funeral service for Larry Joe Pennington, age 51, of Clanton, was Sunday, June 8, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home. The Rev. Billy Turnbloom officiated. Burial followed at Roy Cemetery in Helena.

Mr. Pennington, who passed away June 5, 2008, was a self-employed carpenter. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Junior Pennington; mother, Irene Elizabeth Pennington; and sister, Dorothy McCay.

He is survived by his wife, Kymberly A. Pennington; sisters, Martha (Lincoln) Edwards of Montevallo, Carolyn Lewis of Calera and Vicky (Billy) Turnbloom of Clanton; brothers, Richard (Paula) Pennington of Calera and Roger (Lou) Pennington of Clanton; brother-on-law. Buddy McCay of Alabaster; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
