Funeral service for Dr. Warren Cecil Duke M.D., age 81, of Talladega, was Saturday, June 7, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Talladega with the Rev. Doug Hemphill officiating. Burial followed at 2 p.m. at the Elliotsville Cemetery in Alabaster.

Dr. Duke passed away June 4, 2008, at his home.

Survivors are one daughter, Patricia Dian Hicks (George) of Munford; two sons, Warren Cecil Duke Jr. (Debbie) of Talladega and Jeffrey Todd Duke (Sandy) of Fairview, Tenn. There are seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Dr. Duke is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Faye Brown Duke, and a son, Jon Patrick Duke.

Active pallbearers were Jacob Duke, Caleb Duke, Warren Duke III, Patrick Duke, Joe Tidmore, Jr. and James Duke.

Dr. Duke was a native of Jefferson County and had been a resident of Talladega for the past 38 years where he served in his medical practice. He was employed in the Baptist Heath Systems in Talladega and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Talladega.

The family received friends at the Funeral Home on Friday from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m
