Sgt. Jeremy Y. Walden of Columbiana recently returned from a tour of duty in Iraq with the 82nd Airborne Division. Walden was stationed near the Sadr City district of Baghdad. He is currently stationed in Ft. Bragg, N.C. where he is in training with the U.S. Army “Green Beret” Special Forces.

After his return to Ft. Bragg, Walden entered and won the Fort’s Heavyweight Boxing Title. He is now eligible to join the United States Army Boxing Team. For his achievement, Sgt. Walden was awarded the U.S. Army Medal of Commendation.
