The students at Columbiana Middle School participated in The “Read More, Read Better” program throughout the school year.
The program challenges students to read 25 books. As the students read, they log the number of pages read and earn points to bid on silent auction items.
The students were encouraged to read non-fiction books, which were funded by an educational challenge grant from Cawaco Resource Conservation and Development Council Inc. in partnership with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES).
