Tyler Stanley of Alabaster is the recipient of a four-year University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Green and Gold Scholarship valued up to $26,000. He is the son of Lyle and Karen Stanley of Alabaster.

Stanley graduated from Thompson High School. He was a member of the varsity football and track teams. At UAB, he will major in pre-pharmacy
