Wildlife Center names new executive director

Elizabeth Wideman Bleiberg was recently appointed executive director of the Alabama Wildlife Center, a rehabilitation hospital for orphaned and injured wildlife at Oak Mountain State Park.
Bleiberg’s appointment follows a search that has been in place since the retirement of founder and former executive director Anne G. Miller in February 2008.
Bleiberg is a Birmingham native and has been active in nonprofit management and fund-raising in organizations in North Carolina, Kentucky, Texas and Canada.
She returned to Alabama from Texas last fall with her family
