Locals graduate Birmingham-Southern

Birmingham-Southern College handed out 286 bachelor and 15 master degrees during its 149th Commencement ceremonies in May.

Graduates from Shelby County receiving bachelor of arts degreeswere: Scott Frechette of North Shelby, Jon Kral of North Shelby (magna cum laude), Jared Wallace of Chelsea and Brooke Wright of Columbiana.

Students receiving bachelor of science degrees were: Alexandra Abangan of North Shelby (cum laude), David Barnhill of Chelsea, Mark Bentley of Pelham, Michael Brazil of North Shelby, Cassie Crauswell of Pelham, Michael Donze of North Shelby, Iralyn Franklin of Alabaster (cum laude), Lauren Holmes of Pelham, Stephanie Lenning of North Shelby, Sarah McCoy of Chelsea, Anne McIntyre of North Shelby (cum laude), Charles Prickett of North Shelby, Michael Repole of North Shelby, Whitney Sparks of Pelham, Catherine Spiker of North Shelby, Allison Thompson of North Shelby (magna cum laude) and Amanda Woods of North Shelby (cum laude).

Students receiving a master of arts in music degree were: Matthew Phillips of North Shelby.

Students receiving master of arts in public and private management were: Angelique Brown of North Shelby, Andrew Caldarello of Alabaster, Leigh Laney of Riverchase and Cledas Steager of Northern Shelby (BS and MPPM)
