Grantham second in Tennessee Open
Sara Grantham, a rising junior on Ole Miss women’s golf team, earned a second place finish at the Tennessee Women’s Open Championship on Wednesday. Grantham shot a 74-72-75 in three days to shoot a 221 for the tournament at the Bear Trace/Cumberland Mountain Golf Course. Her score placed her as the low amateur in the pro-am tournament, as she finished one stroke behind winner Marci Turner of Tompkinsville, Ky.
Earlier in the summer, Grantham, a resident of Wilsonville but native of Tennessee, captured the Alabama Women’s State Amateur Championship. Last week, she advanced to the second round of match play at the prestigious North/South Amateur Championship.
