Funeral service for McRay Gingo, age 81, of Helena, was Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel with the Rev. Waymond Strickland and Felicia Lang officiating. Burial followed at Ryan’s Crossing Cemetery. Visitation was Friday, Aug. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel.
Mr. Gingo, who passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008 at a local nursing home, was born July 30, 1927 in Bibb County, Ala.
He is preceded in death by his children, James Gingo, Sherry Aldridge; sister, Kathleen Johnson and a brother, Robert Earl Gingo.
He is survived by his wife, Myra Jo Gingo; children, Debra Caver, Denise Goodfellow, Donna (Wayne) Lombard, Myra (Dewayne) Douglas, Cherrie (Paul) Niven; 23 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; sister, Clara Majors; Clay Gingo and a host of other family and friends.
