Styslinger reaches USTA 14 national semifinal

Mac Styslinger of Mountain Brook finished fourth in the U.S. Tennis Association National Championship in San Antonio, Texas.
Styslinger, a student at Indian Springs School, lost in three sets, 6-1, 4-6, 7-5, in the semifinal to Reo Asami of Irvine, Calif. He later fell in the consolation match, 6-3, 6-1, to Austin Smith of Cumming, Ga., on Tuesday.
Styslinger won four matches to advance to the singles semifinal. He and doubles partner Morgan Mays of Longboat Keys, Fla., lost in the round of 64.
