The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office has identified three of the five victims in a homicide investigation from Cahaba Lakes Apartments Aug. 20.

Three of the victims have been identified as Ezequiel Rebollar-Perrban, 23; Jaime Echeverria, 30; and Armando Lopez, 20-30.

Sheriff Chris Curry made an appeal to the Hispanic community for help with this investigation.

“If anyone knows anything about this horrible crime, please contact the Sheriff’s Office through one of the methods below,” Curry said. “Arrangements can be made to have Spanish speaking investigators talk with you.”

Autopsy reports show four of the five men died from lacerations to the throat. A preliminary report on the fifth man, as well as toxicology reports on all five victims, are still pending.

Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an apartment in the 3000 block of Buckhorn Cove Wednesday night to conduct a welfare check on the occupants. Deputies discovered the bodies of five adult males.

Sheriff’s investigators and other law enforcement agents are continuing to follow every lead and collect evidence in this case. A search warrant was executed at a residence in the 2000 block of Valleydale Road yesterday and several vehicles were seized.
