Slayings were murder for hire over drug money, sheriff says
The five men found Wednesday with their throats slashed at an Inverness apartment were a murder for hire over drug money, Sheriff Chris Curry said Tuesday.
Four suspects, all men, are being held in the Shelby County Jail without bond. Curry said the suspects are either accused of paying for or carrying out the hits.
The sheriff’s office still has two persons of interest they would like to talk to, Curry said.
“What we are dealing with is a deal gone bad,” said Curry.
