Jessica Brown, a native of Calera, has been named media relations coordinator for Texas Motor Speedway.

Brown, a recent graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, served a two-year internship at Talladega Superspeedway during her final two years of college.

She also gained public relations experience at the Shelby County Speedway and working with UAB Sports Marketing. Brown also managed public relations functions for her family’s local dirt track race team, 3G Racing, since its inception in 2004.

Her responsibilities at Texas Motor Speedway involve a variety of tasks including planning and executing press conferences and media events and operating the media center, press box and broadcast center during race weekends.
