Evangel’s Foster nominated for Iron Man

Evangel Christian quarterback Henry Foster scored four touchdowns Friday, including one on defense, to help list him among 10 nominees for this week’s Alabama Army Iron Man Award.
The U.S. Army Montgomery Recruiting Battalion announced the nominees for the weekly award on Monday. Presented weekly by Jostens, the award, which is voted on by fans, honors the best two-way high school football players in Alabama.
Foster threw for two touchdowns, ran for one and returned an interception for a score during Evangel’s 50-0 shutout Friday.

Other nominees are:
Colton Billups – Fayette County: Billups grabbed seven passes for 60 yards and two touchdowns and secured the win with an interception on a fake punt attempt as Fayette beat Demopolis, 20-14.
Andrew Brackens – Prattville Christian: Brackens rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown and returned an interception for a 68-yard score in Prattville Christian’s 41-18 loss to Bessemer Academy.
Gabe Carter – New Life: Carter scored four touchdowns in New Life’s 61-14 win over Panama City Christian, catching two touchdown passes, returning a punt for a touchdown, and scoring on a 30-yard interception return.
Chris Davis – Holy Spirit (Tuscaloosa): Davis returned an interception for a 38-yard touchdown and caught 35-yard touchdown pass in Holy Spirit’s 42-8 win over Autaugaville.
Seth McGowan – Houston Academy: McGowan rushed for 175 yards, scored two touchdowns, earned nine first-downs in 25 carries, and led the team in tackles with 10, including one tackle for a loss as Houston Academy beat New Brockton, 21-7.
Demarcus Milliner – Stanhope Elmore: Milliner rushed for a 29-yard touchdown and grabbed a interception as Stanhope Elmore beat Jeff Davis, 42-14.
Edward Robinson – Houston County Robinson caught five passes for 155 yards, scored two touchdowns, rushed for 117 yards on nine carries with another score, and returned an interception for a 32-yard touchdown in helping Houston County rally from 35-points down in Houston County’s 52-20 win over Cottonwood.
Jhamal Turner – Moody:Turner rushed for 167 yards, scored two touchdowns, recorded 13 total tackles, and one tackle for a loss in Moody’s 29-22 win over Chelsea.
Trey Youngblood – Bessemer Academy: Youngblood rushed for 120 yards and had seven total tackles in Bessemer Academy’s 41-18 win over Prattville Christian Academy.
