Funeral service for Mary E. Johnson, age 79, of Clanton, was Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Lomax Independent Church. Burial followed at New Harmony Cemetery.
Visitation was Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Johnson, who passed away Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at a local hospital, was born Nov. 25, 1928, in Jefferson County.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Napolen Johnson, and a son, Charles Wayne Johnson.
She is survived by her children, Robert Johnson, Neal (Betty) Johnson, Joe (Kaye) Johnson, Jimmy (Sue) Johnson, Leroy (Donna) Johnson, Jeff (Nancy) Johnson, Mary (Rayford) Clackler, Betty (Aaron) Smith; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brother, William (Shirley) Alberts; and a host of other family and friends.
